IKUU - Mercator

The Mercator IKUU Series of smart lighting is a comprehensive range of lights, fans and other smart devices that can all be linked to the app on your phone to provide you with the control you would expect from a smart home system.

The IKUU series offers two different protocols in which the devices talk to each other... WIFI and Zigbee

WIFI - Wifi devices are easy to setup and connect to your home wifi network, you only need the devices and the App to operate (no need for a Hub).  This system can also be linked to Amazon Alexa or Google Home through the same Wifi network and allow voice commands.

Zigbee - The devices available for zigbee are the same as the wifi products but they talk to each other in a different way, Zigbee is known for mesh technology where each device in the home talk to each other giving a better coverage throughout the home. (this can be handy if your Wifi has dead spots around your house, or doesn't cover all the rooms in the house).  The zigbee products do however have to talk back to a hub, which in turn can connect to your home network.  (The devices in Zigbee don't individually talk back to the home wifi network.)
