It can control Fan speed, Light ON / OFF, and ther step dimming function.

The Step Dim button controls the dimming of the fan light when used on a Spyda ceiling fan with the integrated LED light kit. Use the Light ON button to switch the light ON, then press the Step dim button and the light will step to 75% of its full brightness, press the step dim button again and it will step down to 50% of the lights full power etc. Each press of ths step dim button will cycle through the dimming steps - 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%
